Joseph Kindley Passes

Mr. Joseph Roosevelt Kindley, 89, passed October 16, 2006 at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Born on September 17, 1917 in Randolph Co. to Edward Kindley and Julia Gibson Kindley. He was employed with several local furniture manufacturers and a lifelong member of Free Grace Mission Holiness Church. Preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Iva Ruth Summey Kindley on September 30, 2006, two sons, Don Kinley and Harold Kinley, 4 sisters, and 2 brothers. Surviving are his children, Ruth Ann Kinney of Asheboro, Helen Shelley and her husband Boyd of Thomasville, Larry Kinley and his wife Lynn of Thomasville, James Kinley and his wife Neta of Denton, Winfred Kinley of Denton, Rebecca “Becky” Lanier and her husband Jeff of Denton, and Stephen Kinley of Trinity; 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at 2:00 PM at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Stephen Stowe officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM and at other times at the residence.
